My girlfriend and now fiancée first introduced me to Smog/Bill Callahan. There’s something very human, natural and honest about his voice that I love; the way he frees words and leaves them bare. The video above is for a Smog track called “I Break Horses” (and yes, this is another preview for what’s to come on The Iceberg).

Here is the latest interview I did with a local psychedelic band The Hoa Hoa’s on BlogTO. They have this song called “Blue Gumball”, which reminds me so much of Stereolab, especially with guitarist Femke Berkhout taking on the vocals.

We’ll be heading to The Junction today for photographs and some thrifting. Hopefully, the sun comes out.
